I am humbled and blessed to have been appointed your new pastor, and I look forward to taking up the position on July 1st.I have worked closely with Father Caruso on many occasions in the past and I know that he is leaving a wonderful legacy for us to build on together. I wish him well on his retirement.
I am deeply honored by this appointment, and I am grateful for the warm welcome already extended to me by our clergy and our staff. I am excited to meet you all and I am making plans to get together with our various parish ministries and other church groups.
It will also be a great personalpleasure to learn more about other aspects of our ministry in the region: our two wonderful churches,St. John the Evangelist Church and Our Lady Queen of Angels Chapel, the Parish School of Religion, Catholic Youth Organization (CYO), and our other apostolates and ministries.
Let us pray for each other, and may the Lord bless the remainder of our summer. I look forward to getting to know you and to spending many fruitful years together doing God’s work in our community. I am sure that you will also wish to join me in welcoming the Polish families in and around Mahopac to our parish.
Be assured of my prayers for you and let us also seek the intercession of Our Lady Queen of Angels and St. John the Evangelist at this time of transition.
