Dear children and young people of St. John the Evangelist Parish Family,
A Blessed Easter to all of you! May the Risen Savior, Jesus Christ, watch over all of you and your families and loved ones. You might be wondering why all of this is happening and where God is in all of this. Every age has its difficulties and problems. We are all experiencing something very unusual in our lives and in our country and world. Some of you might be frightened and even mad at God about what is happening. That’s okay; God understands that we might feel that way. God loves us and is with us in all of this. God did not do this to us. It is what we would call a natural event. It is part of things that happen to us as human beings.
Stay close to your families and loved ones. Pray to the Lord, Jesus Christ, to watch over you and your families. Jesus loves you and is with you. Your priests, deacon and parish staff love you and we’re praying for you and your loved ones. Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Do not hinder them. The kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” (Gospel of St. Matthew 19:14)
May Almighty God bless you and your families. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
