The Easter Vigil
We celebrate Christ as the Light of the World who teaches us all truth and leads us to everlasting life. We listen to the Word of God from the Old Testament and the New Testament to strengthen our faith, hope, and love of Christ. We renew our baptismal promises to remind us of our new life in Christ on the day we were united to him and his church forever. Reception of Candidates for Confirmation and Holy Communion Those who were baptized in the Catholic faith and are being fully united to Christ and the Family of Faith.
Easter Sunday
“Christ is risen. He is truly risen. Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!” We celebrate the great victory of Jesus Christ over sin and death. God the Father raised His Son from the dead. The glorious resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is our hope for our resurrection and new life into the Kingdom of God when we are called from this world.
The ultimate purpose of these events is to celebrate what is now happening among us as a family of faith called to conversion, gathered in faith, and gifted with the spirit of holiness. They celebrate God’s taking possession of our hearts at their deepest core.
Dear Brothers and Sisters, please come and celebrate our faith, which gives us hope, joy, peace, love, and life in Jesus Christ. A blessed Easter to you and your loved ones.
