As we have in past years, we are asking for donations of homemade or store bought cookies/brownies. With the donations, we will be assembling 125 boxes/trays with about 2 dozen baked goods in each. Each family that comes to the food pantry at St. John the Evangelist in Mahopac on 12/22 will be given a box/tray of baked goods.
Baked goods may be dropped off at the Social Hall before or after
4 and 5:30p masses on 12/18 and morning masses on 12/19. After the 12:30 mass, we will assemble the boxes/trays. To drop off you should enter through the main doors as the Social Hall door are kept locked.
We need many donations of cookies!! (about 250 dozen)
Anyone from the community or parish is welcome to donate cookies or other small individual baked goods for the trays. We plan on putting 2 dozen on each tray so we need a lot of baked goods donated!
We can also use help assembling, which will begin at 1 pm o 12/19. Many hands make light work! In this season of giving, this small gesture of kindness will go a long way with our Food Pantry Families.
Please send me a quick email to let me know if you are able to provide a few dozen cookies and/or help with the assembling.
May you and your families be happy and healthy during this holiday season. We thank you in advance for your donations and your time!!
